About the Author

Rasheed Gillespie is the co-founder of Home Mosque and the author of Home Mosque Books, an imprint dedicated to thoughtful Islamic resources for families. A father of three and a long-time student of Islamic studies, he began developing these books while teaching his own children at home, recognising the lack of clear, structured materials for early Islamic education.

Drawing on over two decades of engagement with Islamic learning and ongoing doctoral work in Islamic theology, Rasheed writes with a commitment to clarity, authenticity, and accessibility. The Seeds of Iman series was created to help Muslim families introduce faith in a calm, structured, and age-appropriate way – especially for parents who may not have access to formal programmes or specialist training.

Designed by parents, for parents, these books aim to provide a coherent foundation of belief, practice, and character for children aged 5–11, using clear language, engaging presentation, and carefully sourced content from the Islamic tradition.

Rasheed is an American author based in the United Kingdom.
